Opal Enterprises Participates In Local Earth Friendly Contest

October 4, 2011

Naperville, IL - Opal Enterprises, a company that offers siding contractors in Hinsdaleand surrounding areas, has given back to the Naperville community by participating in a local earth friendly contest.

The event, that was put on by the Naperville Clean Energy & Conservation (NCEC) organization was an eco-friendly family photo contest which encouraged locals to submit images of their environmentally conscious efforts in the community. Residents were eligible to win up to $50,000 in prizes. As leading providers of Oakbrook window replacementservices, Opal Enterprises offered a remodeling prize of three windows of the homeowner's choice, professionally installed by Opal Enterprises. The lucky winner of the Opal window replacement prize was the Close family from Naperville, IL. Their brand new windows will be installed this fall.

The NCEC is a small local, grassroots organization of Naperville residents who united in May 2007 to encourage the city to take action against global warming and climate change. The group engages in community events and outreach to share information about climate change, and meets regularly to discuss new ways to reach out to the community.

After a successful Earth Day event celebration at North Central College last year, the idea of the photo contest was born - to help families think "green" within their daily living environment. Opal Enterprises is always enthusiastic about supporting local businesses and contributing to the Naperville community in a significant and meaningful way.

“I strongly believe in participating in community events. As a company owner, I get approached daily for donations…monetary donations from me to them. There is barely a chance to research these random calls for charitable dollars. So I appreciate being asked directly by a real person who has taken the time to explore Opal Enterprises and how we fit into the grand scheme of an event or cause, " said Tara D. Opalski, Marketing Manager for Opal Enterprises (http://www.opalenterprises.net/).

Based in Naperville, the company services the western suburbs of Chicago by providing a variety of remodeling services including window installation, siding and roofing in Bollingbrook. Opal's niche business focuses mainly on remodeling and replacements for its clients.

As a company that is passionate about its local community, its participation in the event tied in with the overall aim of the photo contest, which was to raise environmental awareness and create an enthusiasm for eco-friendly efforts within the community.

"It was great to be able to donate my company’s expertise, my time, and our services for such a great cause! Making smart philanthropic choices for me and for Opal, makes me feel wonderful about the dollars I want to spend directly in our wonderful Naperville community!" concluded Opalski.
