Andersen Casement & Awning Windows
Since 1966, Andersen®casement and awning windows have combined contemporary beauty with convenient low-maintenance and excellent ventilation characteristics. These windows have a slim sash and frame profile for a great field of view. Andersen® casement and awning windows are protected with the Perma-Shield®system. A seamless one-piece, preformed rigid vinyl frame cover secured to the exterior of the solid wood frame provides an attractive appearance while minimizing maintenance.
Andersen casement and awning windows are easy to maintain. The Smooth Control™ split-arm operator moves the sash away from the frame to allow for easy cleaning of the glass from the inside.
Venting casement windows consist of one or more sash in a single frame, hinged at the top and bottom to pivot outward similar to a door. Andersen’s Smooth Control™ hardware system employs a worm gear drive for easy operation.
Casement windows can have a contemporary or traditional look, depending on the grille applications, and offer dramatic accents to homes when used in combination designs. Excellent for use over sinks, cabinets, or other obstructions because their operation is controlled by turning a handle; an easier motion than lifting or sliding a sash.
