Tax Credit
Now through the end of 2010, the new U.S. tax credit allows homeowners up to $1500 for purchasing products that meet new energy-efficiency requirements. Opal Enterprises offers a full line up of eligible window, door, roof, and siding products that allows our homeowners to take full advantage of this valuable incentive.
The Details
- Tax credit is for the cost of product only and does not include installations costs.
- Tax credit is 30% of the amount paid for the product up to a maximum of $1500 combined for 2009 and 2010 (including other eligible items listed in the IRS notice)
Claiming the Credit
To receive the tax credit, the valid 2009 or 2010 IRS form 5695 will need to be filled out with the purchase price of materials only. (This amount will be outline on your Opal Enterprises purchase receipt)
You will need to keep, for your records:
- A copy of the purchase receipt provided by Opal Enterprises,
- The respective manufacture’s certification statement
- NFRC stickers for window or door products (The NFRC label shows that the energy efficiency of the window or door meets or exceeds tax credit eligibility requirements)
